Contestant Stephanie Skipper, 33, had Kelly Clarkson, 35, in tears during the March 12 episode of The Voice, when she sang the American Idol winner's very emotional song, "Piece by Piece", during her blind audition. And her moment finally happened Monday evening, when she stood in front of Kelly, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys, and belted out the lyrics to Kelly's song, which is about how her dad abandoned her at a young age.

During the package, she spoke about being pregnant at 14 and not being able to hang out with her University City High School classmates because she was being a mother, and how her daughter made her grow up quickly and do better.

Levine and new coach Kelly Clarkson pressed their buzzers for Haynes Keys nearly simultaneously, indicating they both wanted her for their teams.

"You're a genius", said Adam Levine.

"I'm so sad", Clarkson said after Skipper's performance. I'm crying. I'm so mad I didn't turn. The fact that you picked that song, it was cool. Haynes Keys, 37, said she always wanted to be like that as a singer. "I have to say thank you for writing that song, because it means a lot to me and it means a lot to share in your art, because it means something in my world", she said. Skipper tells Kelly, "Don't apologize, I'm on the show, girl", which makes Clarkson get up and give Stephanie a hug. But since Kelly didn't turn her chair around, Stephanie was forced to pick another coach to advance in the competition with. "It is who she is".
