"Stranger Things" star Charlie Heaton has seemingly gotten his act together after he was refused entry into the United States because agents found trace amounts of cocaine in his luggage.

The 24-year-old actor said the situation was "f***ing awful" and admitted it happened at a time he still hadn't accepted his new-found stardom. "It was just bad", he admits, adding that he's now allowed to enter the country.

Charlie Heaton is finally opening up about the incident last fall, which kept him from attending the season two premiere of his hit Netflix series, Stranger Things. It was hard. Everything happened so fast, and I hadn't come to terms with the fact that I was famous.

'When something steps in from the work you are doing and breaks into your personal feel kind of vulnerable.

Although Charlie's future on the show was in doubt, he's since confirmed that he has been allowed back into the U.S. to film the third series of Stranger Things.

The Yorkshire-born star subsequently missed the premiere of the second season of Stranger Things and returned to London. "All of a sudden it becomes a very big story and it gets really blown out of proportion", he continued. "At the end of the day I just wanted to go back".

He told People: 'My planned travel to the USA last week was affected by an issue at US immigration, and I am working to rectify it as soon as possible. "I want to work and continue to work-that's all I've ever done", he said.

Michael is a music and television junkie keen on most things that are not a complete and total bore. "It was very real not only to me, but other women on the set that also want to share their story".
