The family of the teen girl who organized the party has agreed to pay for the damage — and the homeowner isn't seeking criminal charges

According a statement, officers responded to reports of an "uncontrolled party" at a home in the 2400-block of Ottawa Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Upon arrival, police encountered approximately 200 teens flooding out of the residence.

Authorities say a 14-year-old girl used her parents' credit card-without their permission-to rent out a luxury home for the March 9 party, the CBC reports.

"We were receiving multiple calls. reporting a large scale disturbance", said Const. Jeff Palmer of West Vancouver police.

Anyone who might have information about those directly responsible for the property damage is asked to contact investigators at 604-925-7300.

Con Palmer said the party had quickly grown beyond its intended size and the home had been extensively damaged.

The girl's parents and the homeowner arrived at the scene, but no charges have been filed against her, said Palmer: "They were planning to resolve the issue of the damage in a civil proceeding between themselves and as such, the homeowner isn't requesting any criminal action against the 14-year-old or her family".

Police said the family of the teen who organized the party has agreed to pay for the damage. Unfortunately for her and her family, a bigger bill is coming their way as the home suffered an estimated $20,000 in damages.

'The damage is some smashed artwork, furniture that was smashed, walls kicked in, furniture and other articles tossed off a balcony into a hot tub, very extensive damage that would take some effort to clean up, let alone fix, ' Con Palmer said.
