Several studios have answered the call- the latest being Paul Feig's production company- Feigco Entertainment.

During her acceptance speech after winning the best actress Oscar for "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri", McDormand created a social media buzz by mentioning inclusion riders in her speech, The Hollywood Reporter said.

"Thrilled to announce that Feigco Entertainment is officially adopting an #inclusionrider for all our film and TV productions moving forward", Feig said on Twitter. Feig challenged others to follow suit. The topic of diversity and inclusion in Hollywood has gained momentum in recent months and continued following the massive success of Ryan Coogler's "Black Panther". An inclusion rider stipulates that a production team is required to achieve a certain level of diversity in the cast and crew, and its a clause that even a movie star can demand be included in their deal.

When Michael B. Jordan declared he would be taking action after hearing McDormand's words of wisdom, he told his Instagram followers: "In support of the women & men who are leading this fight, I will be adopting the Inclusion Rider for all projects produced by my company Outlier Society". He also thanked Stacy Smith, who was the first to bring the idea of an inclusion rider to national attention in 2014.
