Rapid Review: Samsung Galaxy S9

Galaxy owners can easily schedule an appointment at one of the Samsung Care authorized uBreakiFix service locations nationwide, or simply drop off their device without an appointment. Samsung wants to make the process a little more convenient.

To pull this off, Samsung is partnering with over 300 uBreakiFix locations across the USA that are Samsung Care authorized (there will be an additional 200 locations opened by early 2019 according to the South Korean electronics giant).

The Samsung Care authorized uBreakiFix service locations are in all major US metro areas and reach the majority of the continental USA population.[2] By early 2019, Samsung and uBreakiFix plan to add almost 200 more Samsung Care authorized uBreakiFix service locations to expand customer reach. Of course, it automatically became this year's flagship of the year in the Android platform.

Currently, Samsung sells an extended warranty service called "Premium Care" that costs $12 a month and offers in-home support and extra coverage against accidental damages. Engadget states that the companies are promising same day repairs on Galaxy phones ranging from the S6 and Note 5, through the S9 and Note 8, often with most problems taking less than 2 hours. In short, unless you really feel confident in your handiness with a phone fix kit, you should be sending these phones back to Samsung or a reputable fix shop if something bad happens to them. Starting 15 March, Samsung customers are able to bring in their Galaxy mobile devices to more than 300 uBreakiFix shops in the U.S. for same-day support, within two hours or less for most repairs. This appears to be a step in the right direction, though, and should lead to a little more convenience for clumsy Galaxy fans.
