Neil Young Fires Back At No. 1 Hater: NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch

NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch condemned this week's student marches for gun control by invoking a controversy involving those who helped orchestrate the nationwide demonstrations.

Loesch has tweeted at least 15 negative comments about the rock legend over the past decade, according to the Daily Beast, including referring to his voice as "a dying cow fart" at least three times.

He was amused. Very amused.

"The spokesperson? That woman?" "Well, she's one of the gang over there". If her tweets are to be believed, Loesch has been nursing this grudge since she encountered Young's single "Downtown" from the Pearl Jam collaboration album Mirror Ball in 1995. Young laughed, before declaring that he was "glad [he] got under her skin". "He'd come to all my shows".

He then thought better of his glib response.

"You know, I hate to say that because I have kids and I really don't want anybody to shoot me", Young continued. "I've still got to bring up my kids, so don't take that seriously!"

Young has finally gotten around to responding to Loesch's ire. "That's what happens", he said. In previous years, the artist has championed the impeachment of President George W. Bush in song and declared "Fuck you, Donald Trump!" after the billionaire used "Rockin' in The Free World" at a campaign stop. "It's freedom. I appreciate that, and I think she should exercise it as much as she can".
