A man named Ishmael Temple is suing Odell Beckham Jr. for $15 million in a lawsuit that alleges Beckham oversaw Temple's beatdown at a Los Angeles house party in January, per a TMZ report.

Temple says he was punched so hard that he blacked out. He says he was shaking hands with people inside the home and went for the hand of Beckham's hired muscle, Charles Puryear, when the bodyguard pulled out a gun and pointed it toward him, saying, "I bet you've never gotten shot before". Despite suing for $15 million, Temple claims he spent just $18,000 to fix his teeth. "The filing is full of falsehoods and misinformation, and Mr. Beckham's legal team is fully prepared to vigorously defend against these outlandish and unsubstantiated claims", the statement partially reads.

He says the beating stemmed from an incident the week before, when he says Beckham's security verbally assaulted him when he sought to retrieve his phone from Beckham's house.

Described as an event organizer, Temple claims Beckham's security resents him because "as a Hollywood social event organizer, (he) knew numerous female ladies present at Beckham's residence", according to TMZ. "Mr. Beckham denies any business or other relationship with plaintiff, and further denies any wrongdoing whatsoever". Mr. Temple made threatening remarks to several attendees, at which point he was repeatedly asked to leave. Twenty minutes later, Temple claims he was attacked by Puryear and another man, knocking him out and injuring his knee, lip and ear, as well as chipping two front teeth. When Temple mentioned the situation to Beckham, the receiver apparently laughed. "(We) are confident that Mr. Beckham has no legal liability to Mr. Temple, and (we) have no intention of giving in to what amounts to a shakedown attempt.

Even though Mr. Temple agrees that Mr. Beckham was in no way involved in the physical altercation, neither as a participant or an instigator, he nevertheless demanded money from Mr. Beckham, and has now filed a meritless suit against him.

The statement goes on to call Temple's suit "frivolous", noting a lack of police report, hospital records or evidence of actual injuries.
