Nick Caserio attends Lamar Jackson's pro day

Nick Caserio, the Patriots' highest-ranking talent evaluator not named Bill Belichick, attended the Louisville Cardinals pro day on Thursday.

As many as six quarterbacks could hear their names called in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, including Jackson, who possesses the most dynamic skill set of any signal-caller in this class.

He's an incredible athlete, as evidenced by his 4,132 rushing yards in three years at Louisville (that's more than Le'Veon Bell, Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson, Ezekiel Elliott, Mark Ingram, and Leonard Fournette amassed in college).

The Patriots are looking for a quarterback of the future to groom behind Tom Brady, and Jackson could be on their radar.

The teams in attendance for the pro day will not get a chance to record a time for him in the 40-yard dash or any other tests.

According to Mike Mayock, teams are having trouble arranging meetings with Jackson.

Jackson will need to improve his accuracy at the National Football League level - he completed just 57 percent of his passes for the Cardinals - but his athleticism and playmaking ability are second to none. The Pats also own the No. 43 pick in the second round due to the Jimmy Garoppolo trade.
