The company has recalled 206,749,248 eggs sold across multiple brands in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

The FDA said the eggs can potentially be contaminated with Salmonella Braenderup, which is an organism that could cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

So far, 22 reported cases of salmonella infections are believed to be tied to the contaminated eggs. The Julian date - or lot codes - have a range of 011 through date of 102 printed on either the side portion or the principal side of the carton or package. That means that the recall impacts eggs packed from January 11 through April 12.

A full list of affected eggs is listed on the FDA's food recall website.

Those who purchased the potentially affected eggs are advised by the agency to return them to the point of goal for a full refund.

More than 200 million eggs are being recalled due to concerns about Salmonella.

Rose Acre Farms in IN voluntarily recalled more than 200 million eggs this week over salmonella fears.

Eggs in the Vermont farm were sold to restaurants and also into supermarkets under several new names, including Coburn Farms, State Day Break, Food Lion, Glenview, Excellent worth, Nelms and Sun Shine Farms.

Officials confirmed that the affected farm - Rose Acre Farms, which describes itself as the second-largest egg producer in the USA - has paused its egg distribution. The CDC said that in some persons, the diarrhea may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized.

Did you buy eggs affected by this recall? After a couple of weeks, the FDA says it, and the CDC and state agencies were able to identify the source of the eggs connected to the outbreak.
