'Baaghi 2' gets into the 150-crore club in India

He said he was grateful to everyone who has supported the film and given him support as well as the entire team of "Baaghi 2'". The action drama, starring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani, has crossed Rs150 crore nett in its India business so far. The mass pockets and single screens remain the main contributors for the film where it has no major competition (October is working mainly in the multiplexes).

Staying strong over the week, it collected 1.75 crores on Friday, 2.50 crores on Saturday, 2.95 crores on Sunday at the Indian box office. The film is a sequel to 2016's Baaghi, that also starred Tiger Shroff in the lead role.

Sajid Nadiadwala's release strategy proves to be a hit with Baaghi 2 emerging to be this year's highest opening film cashing 25.10 Cr on its release date. The slick action sequences in the film, however, were appreciated. The two leading stars Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani were rumored to be dating each other. In its first week itself, the film crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in India.

Baaghi 2 opened to fabulous numbers at the box office. After a 17-day run, its total collection stands at Rs 155.65 crore, which is remarkable, to say the least.

The movie has an ensemble star cast with the likes of classic actors such as Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Deepak Dobriyal, Darshan Kumar, Prateik Babbar playing pivotal parts.
