The earlier launched Xperia XZ2 came with Full HD+ 18:9 display.

The smartphone features Motion Eye dual camera system with a combination of 19-megapixel color sensor, and a 12-megapixel black and white sensor. Previewed at Mobile World Congress just a few months ago, it has some serious low-light talents. That, Sony promises, is the sort of sensitivity that until now you'd have required an interchangeable-lens camera for, rather than being included in a regular-sized Android phone. The former delivers the contrast data; the latter the color data: the details from both are combined with Sony's AUBE fusion image signal processor.

The dual rear camera setup will also have a portrait feature, which Sony calls Bokeh mode. Or, you could switch into the dedicated monochrome mode. The price of the Xperia XZ2 Premium has not been revealed yet and it is likely to be available from May 2018 onwards. The primary rear camera is a 12MP F/1.6 that works in unison with a 19MP camera with a F/1.8 aperture.

TechRadar spoke to Sony, who confirmed that the phone may not be available in the UAE, Saudi and the rest of the Middle East - although it's yet to rule out its arrival completely. It uses Sony's X-Reality upscaling technology, too, capable of turning non-HDR footage into HDR. It's the only smartphone to bring you true professional camera quality plus a premium entertainment experience, all powered by the ultimate in processing power with the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845. For a more immersive video playback, it also gets S-Force surround sound and a Dynamic Vibration System that vibrates like Sony PlayStation's "DualShock" controllers.

Are you gutted the United Kingdom won't be getting the Xperia XZ2 Premium?

Also like the XZ2 is the design. With an exclusive glass and metal finish, this smartphone not only looks attractive with a premium feel but is also created to be durable thanks to Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 on both sides. The phone is IP65/68 dust and water resistant as well.

Rounding out the devices unique specifications are a 3,540mAh battery, front and back Gorilla Glass 5, and a front-facing 13MP shooter coupled with display flash. "As a comparison, the ceramic-based 6.4" Xiaomi Mi MIX weighs a much lower 209 grams and even the current XZ Premium is lighter at 195g. The Xperia XZ2 Premium, as the name suggests, is an enhanced version of the Xperia XZ2 that made its debut at MWC 2018, and is yet to make its way to many global markets like India.
