With AP Photos.Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison is out six weeks with a broken bone in his left hand.

The Pirates announced Monday that Harrison has a fractured fifth metacarpal. During the third inning, Harrison was hit by a Jose Urena fastball.

Harrison was hit by a pitch Sunday and this is not the news Pirates fans were hoping for.

PITTSBURGH (AP) - The Pittsburgh Pirates placed second baseman Josh Harrison on the 10-day disabled list after he broke the pinky finger on his left hand for a second time in a year. It's the exact same injury he suffered when he was hit by a pitch last September.

The Pirates are now in first place of the NL Central with a 2 1/2 game lead over the Cardinals.
