Lazio owner Claudio Lotito has made it clear only a mammoth bid would be enough to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer after he revealed he rejected a €110 million offer for the midfielder previous year.

Milinkovic-Savic is hot property in Europe, with Serie A holders Juventus, European champions Real Madrid and Premier League giants Manchester United reportedly interested in the Serbia global.

Earlier this month former Lazio star Stefano Fiore revealed how much he believes Milinkovic-Savic is worth.

"I get angry when I read people call Lazio a supermarket".

Lotito's remarks were later followed up by comments on the club's Serie A rivals attempting to join the race for the midfielder, a notion he failed to entertain as he told Tuttosport: "There's no way he can go to Juventus because Juve don't have the money to buy Milinkovic Savic".

A final-day defeat to Inter Milan saw the Biancocelesti finish fifth in Serie A in 2017-18, meaning they will not be able to offer UEFA Champions League football next season.

"We must put Simone Inzaghi in the condition to do well next season".

"We don't want to talk about figures, the market isn't based on "if" and "maybe".

The midfielder is interesting Manchester United and Juventus.

"That said, the market has gone insane and should return to more normal figures".

Mourinho could look to use his relationship with Milinkovic-Savic's agent, Mateja Kezman, to push for a deal, but convincing the Aquile patron will be hard.

'At this moment we have yet to receive an offer, and when it arrives we'll decide what to do'.
