Watford have completed the signing of Spain winger Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona, the Premier League club have confirmed.

The 24-year-old becomes Watford's second summer signing, following the arrival of England youth worldwide Ben Wilmot from Stevenage last month.

Watford are reported to have agreed on a €13m, plus €4m in variables, whilst Barca will receive an undisclosed percentage of any future transfer after the Spain worldwide agreed on a permanent return.

"We are very pleased to welcome Gerard back to Vicarage Road and thank FC Barcelona for their part in concluding this deal", Watford chairman Scott Duxbury told the club's website.

A six-month loan move to Watford followed, where he scored one goal in seven appearances for Javi Gracia's side.

"Our ambition to succeed and grow in the Premier League remains as strong as ever".

Deulofeu was a graduate of Barcelona's La Masia academy but joined Everton on a permanent deal in 2015 following a successful loan spell.

He enjoyed a consistent run of games with the Toffees, playing 37 times before heading over to Italy for another loan spell at AC Milan.

And after impressing at an inconsistent Watford, Javi Gracia has chose to snap him up on a permanent deal.
