Manchester United have been quoted an astonishing £60m for the signing of Austrian forward, Marko Arnautovic.

The 29-year-old only moved to the London Stadium in a club-record £25 million transfer from Stoke City last summer, however, it is believed that Jose Mourinho is interested in bringing the maverick attacker to the Theatre of Dreams before the start of the new campaign.

Jose Mourinho was in the stands as Austria hosted Russian Federation in an worldwide friendly last month and it's understood the Portuguese was keeping an eye on 29-year-old Arnautovic.

Mourinho, who has previously worked with the forward at Serie A side Inter, was recently spotted at a friendly fixture Arnautovic was involved in, prompting suggestions he was looking to sign him.

Pressed for an update on his situation by Sky Sports Austria, he said: "I am happy with my job".

'Even three weeks ago I haven't heard anything.

West Ham fans have taken the rather vague answer from Arnautovic to questions over his future as a signal that he could depart. "That's why I can not say anything about it.The only thing that bothers me is that I am in good health and that I am able to play football".

The speculation linking Manchester United with a move for Arnautovic heightened after Mourinho was pictured watching him in action during Austria's friendly against Russian Federation last week.

West Ham United fans are anxious that Marko Arnautovic will leave, after his latest comments over his future at the London Stadium.
