Earlier today, Bethesda revealed the latest Elder Scrolls V spinoff titled Skyrim Very Special Edition.

The first sign that it was more than just an E3 video gag was when a product page appeared on Amazon shortly after the show.

Bethesda Softworks Some "Skyrim" fans took the video as a joke and believed it was a not-so-subtle nod to Bethesda's numerous remasters of the almost seven-year-old game, all of which have made their way to current generation consoles, including the Nintendo Switch.

It's not clear if this is really the full game, but it's still pretty remarkable that Bethesda did it. "Yes, that's right, the version of Skyrim you never saw coming has finally arrived on the platform you never asked for", says the Amazon release. But amazingly, it's an actual Alexa Skill you can enable now, allowing you to "quest and explore the dungeons of Skyrim" and "walk straight up a mountain instead of going around" using only the power of your Thu'um.

Check back throughout the week for more news and updates on everything happening at E3 2018. Hopefully we can avoid any arrows to the knees this time around. And yet here we are, a few hours later, and you can actually play Skyrim: Very Special Edition.
