Neal Boyd Dead – 'America's Got Talent' Winner Dies at 42

"America's Got Talent" Season 3 victor Neal E. Boyd died Sunday of heart failure. The opera singer was only 42 years old.

After winning America's Got Talent, Neal recorded one album titled My American Dream.

Scott County Coroner Scott Amick says Boyd died around 6 p.m. Sunday at his mother's house in Sikeston.

Boyd had ailments including kidney failure and liver problems.

Last year, he and his mother were reportedly badly injured in a auto accident after he blacked out while driving. "[Recovery is] a very slow progress".

"I didn't realize we were poor until my mama told me I was, but we got through", Boyd had said during the show.

Boyd's twitter biography still has the line, "Boyd for Missouri 2014". "I shattered a lot of bones, and shattered my hip, which has left me nearly unable to use that leg for now", he told the outlet in February.

American pop opera singer Neal E. Boyd, who performed at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, on August 28, 2012 during the Republican National Convention, died on Sunday. He told a local news outlet recently that a third album was in the works for a 2019 debut.

"You never know what's going to happen next".

Boyd briefly dabbled in politics, too: He ran for a seat in the Missouri House of Representatives twice, but was defeated both times.
