IHOP name change: The 'B' is for burgers

IHOP is rebranding to International House of Burgers, but ROH wrestler Cheeseburger - a self-proclaimed burger expert - says it was a questionable decision.

IHOP said on Monday that it's temporarily changing its branding because the B stands for burgers.

The company revealed the new name on its Twitter account Monday after teasing the change last week. But Burger King was silent on social media.

IHOP's specialty is pancakes, we value IHOP as a place to get pancakes, and we shouldn't forget that IHOP is a place for pancakes.

The new burgers are available with unlimited french fries and a drink for $6.99.

"The change, in fact, celebrates the debut of the brand's new Ultimate Steakburgers", the company said in a press release about the seven new all-natural burger varieties.

An IHOP in Hollywood is getting new IHOb signs, and some others might get the treatment. IHOP's same-restaurant sales - or sales at locations open at least a year - declined 1.9 percent in its most recent fiscal year.

Burgers. The "B" is for Burgers.

The artery-clogging additions to the menu include Cowboy BBQ - which comes with onion rings, bacon and American cheese - and Jalapeno Kick - including sauteed jalapenos, serrano peppers, hickory-smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese and mayo.

IHOP has changed its name to IHOb.

Tell Us: Will you be trying one of IHOb's burgers? While many fans were totally on board with new burgers being added to the menu, a few others weren't so sure. According to a company statement, the name and logo change is only for the time being, indicating that the change may be nothing more than a temporary marketing ploy.

IHOb tried its best to defend its decision with more puns using the letter "b", such as "We bromise that this is going to b good!" and "That's nice and all, but when are you gonna stob by?!".
