Starlink: Battle For Atlas Gets Star Fox Content, October 16, 2018 Release Date

The new trailer comes ahead of Nintendo's own E3 2018 event, in which the company is rumored to feature its own Star Fox game.

Aurent Malville, creative director of Ubisoft Toronto, took to the stage to talk more about Starlink: Battle for Atlas, eventually culminating in the surprise appearance of Shigeru Miyamoto and the reveal that Starlink would play host to the arrival of both Arwings and Fox McCloud from the Star Fox franchise. "We wanted to combine our love for collectibles with an epic, open-world space adventure to create a brand new experience for audiences of all ages", shared Matt Rose, producer, Ubisoft. Fox then flies in to save the day, and if the trailer is any indication, he will come complete with his usual moveset, including his patented barrel roll maneuver.

Three trailers were released for Starlink: Battle for Atlas.

The game was announced Monday as part of Ubisoft's press conference at E3, the largest video game expo of the year.

Between Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and the Star Fox/Starlink crossover, it's clear that the relationship between Ubisoft and Nintendo is stronger than ever. If Starlink proves successful, it will be interesting to see if this partnership results in any other collaborations down the line.

Starlink is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch on October 16.

For those who aren't familiar with Starlink: Battle for Atlus, you can read up on the game's core details below along with mention of the Nintendo Switch exclusivity of the extra content and bonus missions.
