E3 Trailer for ‘Death Stranding’ Features Léa Seydoux

Death Stranding

The new Death Stranding trailer released during Sony's E3 2018 briefing confirmed two new high-profile actresses have joined Hideo Kojima's mysterious PlayStation 4 game. This didn't provide any clear indication on what the game is all about. Yes, plugging your fetus into your backpack is a gameplay feature in Death Stranding. At various points we saw Sam hauling miscellaneous boxes, leading a convoy of wheeled delivery robots, climbing cliffs and even carrying what appeared to be a shrouded corpse through a huge, picturesque open world.

All the screenshots are shot on a PS4 Pro in 4K, and they look absolutely spectacular, showing the new characters introduced yesterday, played by Léa Seydoux and Sandy Wagner.

There's more babies in a tank, Hollywood A-listers and somber (beautiful) music to accompany a lot of Norman Reedus walking and ferrying things from one desolate piece of empty land to another. Once again, the famed video game designer didn't disappoint us. A typical hero is usually some sort of elite or someone with a military background. Someone with a skillset akin to a blue-collar worker.

After the numerous inexplicably weird trailers since Death Stranding's announcement, this year's E3 gameplay (-ish) trailer was an bad lot more intelligible. Those who watched the trailer above will also notice that Wagner is portrayed as a younger character in the film, something that Kojima also explained as a necessary decision for Death Stranding. It is being developed by Kojima Productions.
