Barr apologized for that mistake, but added, "By the way, George Soros is a Nazi who turned in his fellow Jews to be murdered in German concentration camps and stole their wealth; were you aware of that?" The tweet came after Barr falsely claimed that Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Hillary Clinton, was married to Soros's nephew. "His family was persecuted by The Nazis & survived The Holocaust only because of the strength & resourcefulness of his father, ' she said, alongside a link to Soros" Open Society Foundation.

On Monday, Barr took those comments back. The majority of accounts of his time during World War II indicate that Soros - who was 14 when the Nazis occupied Hungary - was hidden in plain sight as the godson of a Hungarian official to avoid persecution.

When asked about the experience during a 1998 interview with "60 Minutes," Soros said he didn't feel particularly guilty about the incident because he was there as a "spectator". The official's duties included taking inventory of the estate of a Jewish family that had fled earlier under duress and he took my then 13-year-old father with him'.

Barr, who has been embattled on Twitter after some racist comments about former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett, which she apologized for, got her ABC revival of "Roseanne" canceled.

Producers are moving toward an agreement that would allow them to go ahead with a "Roseanne" spinoff, Page Six has learned, because Roseanne Barr is "seriously considering" forgoing any profits from the new show.

Barr was also dumped by her talent agency, ICM Partners.
