Here's the official synopsis of the movie - "From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure "Dumbo" expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight". (Titles like Pete's Dragon or Alice in Wonderland don't quite count because the original was either animated and live action, or have little to do with the previous iteration.) Disney hopes to keep this endless money train going with Dumbo. Colin Farrell stars as soldier Holt Farrier, who returns home from war and is recruited by a circus owner (Danny DeVito) to care for a newborn elephant with oversized ears.

Dumbo, a remake of the 1941 film, comes from Tim Burton, who has been looking for a major hit after a number of disappointments this decade.

Burton is an especially adept choice for adapting one of Disney's darker classics, and Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora sets the tone of the film with her haunting rendition of "Baby Mine", the song that Dumbo's mother sings to her baby elephant. Burton directs from a screenplay by Kruger. And to top it off, the film has also debuted its first teaser poster. "The original ends with the elephant flying", DeVito said.

'But when Holt's children discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star'.

The first trailer shows off some typically lavish production design from Burton, largely focusing on the circus setting.

Disney will release Dumbo in USA theaters on March 29, 2019.
