Kidman rules red carpet and fashion best dressed looks but now she has gone one better as the glamoroud and sexy Queen Atlanna in the upcoming DC movie. Let's just hope that Jason Momoa's version of Arthur Curry will usher in a new era for the Aquaman character.

The superhero film, slated to be released later in 2018, is the latest addition to the popular DC Extended Universe. If we get to see Nicole Kidman in a mother of pearl bodysuit riding atop a giant octopus then I may just forgive the crimes of the rest of the DCEU; it's all worth it for this. And in the other corner, his on-screen nemesis who threatens to destroy everything the half-human, half-Atlantean has ever loved, it's The Get Down's Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta!

Aquaman is now scheduled to be released in theaters on December 21, 2018. Not pictured is Dolph Lundgren, who stars as King Nereus. "He's [Black Manta] part mercenary but full-time pirate who in his suit will look like some insane alien from outer space", Wan teases to EW.

The Black Manta helmet looks quite nifty, however, and I like how Wan has found a grounded way for the character to make sense. "Black Manta is a really interesting character who is somehow factored into this story but our main story is about Jason and Patrick".

He told EW: "The water world my movie takes place in is so separate and so far apart from previous DC movies it's like I'm making my own sci-fi fantasy film". This is a whole new underwater world nobody has seen before in live action." said Wan, teasing the setting of the movie, which Warner Bros.' Toby Emmerich has claimed will set the DCEU "on the right path.

Plot details for Aquaman are now under wraps, though the film centers on the King of Atlantis and will dive much deeper into the character's past as it explores the discovery of his powers and his reluctance to accept his role as King.
