Sanders says she was told to leave Virginia restaurant

Press Secretary Sarah Sanders speaks out on being asked to leave a restaurant in Virginia.

"Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for [President Trump] and I politely left", Sanders tweeted.

One fearless restaurant owner chose to take a stand against the Trump administration on June 23.

PS - This is the second time THIS WEEK that a Trump administration official has been booted from a restaurant in reaction to the Cheeto-In-Chief's immigration policy.

Sanders said the event said far more about the owner of the restaurant than it did about her.

Comedian Michelle Wolf was quick to respond to news that Sarah Huckabee Sanders was thrown out of a Virginia restaurant because she works for Donald Trump. The demonstrators jeered "End Family Separation", referring to the policy that Trump reversed on Wednesday. She said several restaurant employees were gay and knew Sanders had defended Trump's desire to bar transgender people from the military.

Mrs Sanders" father Mike Huckabee, the former Republican presidential candidate, said: "Bigotry. And appetizers are "small plates for small minds".

Reviewers initially confused the Virginia restaurant with one by the same name in DC.

"This business recently made waves in the news, which often means that people come to this page to post their views on the news", according to Yelp.

Earlier this week, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielson was confronted by protestors when she dined out at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C.

Sanders is the third Trump official to face public backlash while dining out in less than a week, suggesting that the social cost of working with the president may be going up following widespread outrage over the Trump administration separating thousands of migrant children from their parents at the southern US border.
