"They insist they are ready to come out", Narongsak said Sunday of the rescue team.

A source inside the Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital where the boys are being kept said their condition was "not bad" but said doctors were watching for signs of emerging conditions such as hypothermia. But, their conditions are unknown.

As of this writing, four of the boys have already been rescued but operations have been put on hold to restock on supplies.

In a tweet Sunday morning, U.S. President Donald Trump said, "The U.S.is working very closely with the Government of Thailand to help get all of the children out of the cave and to safety".

The children and their coach will be taken out one by one, each accompanied by two divers.

Thirteen medical teams have been stationed outside the cave - one for each of the boys and their coach. They are then taken to hospital in Chiang Rai.

Narongsak had dubbed Sunday to be "D-day" as the complicated effort was launched in the morning.

"I beg everyone outside to pray for them and support them", the governor said.

Rescuers in Thailand on Monday began their second attempt to free the remaining boys and their coach still trapped inside a cave, but warned that heavy rains have soaked the area and they are now in a race with "water and time".

Divers have been guiding the boys through darkness and submerged passageways towards the mouth of the Tham Luang cave system.

Other media outlets have reported that Prajak "Note" Sutham, 14, Nattawut "Tle" Takamsai, 14 and Pipat Bodhi, 15, were the other three boys who had been rescued.

"If something changes, we'll stop", he said. "We could start it five hours faster than we expected".

While divers were resting, various oxygen points in the rescue route have been re-stocked with tanks to ensure minimal risk of deprivation.

Dark clouds and fog shrouded the area around the cave as a steady rain began falling in the early afternoon.

Thailand's Meteorological Department said there was a 60 percent chance of rain Monday with thunderstorms forecast throughout the week.

One of the boys, identified as Tun, wrote: "Mom and Dad, please don't worry, I am fine".

The first boy made it out at 5.31pm (11.31am United Kingdom time), and at 7.47pm (1.47pm) the Thai navy SEALS announced: 'Fourth Wild Boar out of the cave!' The youngsters were assessed by medics at the cave entrance before being taken to hospital.

Residents of the nearby town of Mae Sai, located directly on the border with Myanmar around seven miles away from the cave entrance, have been following the saga of the boys' disappearance and rescue efforts intently.

"Obviously we need to be careful not to be overconfident", he said.

The two spent time looking for sponsors and used the team to prove to the boys they could become something more than their small town would suggest - even professional athletes.

"The fact that it took so many hours underscores how precarious this whole mission is", she said.
