In comparison, sister Kim Kardashian is estimated to be worth around $350 million.

According to Forbes' calculations, that makes her not only the Jenner-Kardashian with the highest net worth, but also the 27th richest self-made woman in the United States.

There has always been rumors that Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics (the brand that launched the OG lip kit and a million copycats) was on its way to being a billion-dollar business, and now it appears that historic milestone is closer than ever. "It could easily be an instant game-changing acquisition for any company on the hunt for a winning brand with a younger customer", senior VP or merchandising at Ulta Tara Simon said. Kylie, who is featured on the magazine's cover, is the youngest person to ever make the list.

In addition to bringing in millions from her families' reality shows and many more millions from product endorsement deals, Forbes estimates her booming makeup company, Kylie Cosmetics, is worth almost $800 million.

"Ever since I was in sixth grade, I would wear purple eye shadow", Jenner said.

While makeup and more specifically lip kits were a natural fit for Jenner ― she recently made headlines for ditching her signature lip fillers ― she says she "struggled for a minute" to identify her passion in a family where each member is successful in their own way.

Forbes' Natalie Robehmed details how Kylie Cosmetics has found success both by harnessing Jenner's enormous social media following and slashing costs by outsourcing labor. (In 2015, she admitted to getting temporary ones.) So, the reality star made a decision to capitalize on everyone's obsession. "Wow, I can't believe I'm posting my very own @forbes cover", she captioned the pic. "I don't want to do it with anyone else, '" she said. By the end of 2016, the company was selling a line of about 50 products with a revenue of about $307 million, according to Forbes. However, mother Kris maintains that revenue is up "considerably" in the first six months of 2018 compared to previous year, but it's an assertion that Forbes couldn't verify.

"Maybe one day [I'll] pass this on to Stormi, if she's into it", Kylie told the publication, adding that she plans on keeping the business going "forever".
