Kraft, a former US Amateur Champion, was chasing his first PGA Tour victory but although he matched his best previous finish on the PGA Tour he was unable to stay with the brilliance of Na. He began the day one shot behind co-leaders Kelly Kraft and Harold Varner III.

With greens drying out in the afternoon, they shared an adventure on No. 15.

Defending champion Xander Schauffele and Kevin Na were at 13 under.

Anirban Lahiri of India, who shot a 61 in the second round, shot 71-76 on the weekend to end up tied for 39th at 5 under.

"Big confidence boost", Na said. He shot 75 and finished 11 shots back.
