Harrison Ford arrives at the 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills Calif. The Walt Disney Co. on Tuesday announced that the planned fifth installment in the"Indiana Jones franchise will be released in July 2

Aside from pushing back Indiana Jones 5 to a date that could see its star, Harrison Ford, dead by then (he'll be 78), Disney also announced that Jungle Cruise will bring Dwayne Johnson back into theaters on October 11, 2019, while Angelina Jolie's Maleficent 2 will sequel into theaters on May 29, 2020.

The long-awaited sequel for Angelina Jolie's live-action Maleficent movie has finally been given a release date by Walt Disney Studios.

This is nearly exactly one year later than its prior release date of July 10, 2020.

Script issues are reportedly behind the delay.

Spielberg also has a slate of other projects he is now working on, including a remake of musical "West Side Story" and religion drama "The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara".

Disney has announced some changes to their release schedule, pushing Jungle Cruise back while shifting Mary Poppins Returns forward.

While Ford remains committed to star as the iconic archaeologist once again with Steven Spielberg returning to direct, one can't help but wonder if time on the project is starting to run out.

The advancing age of the franchise hero, who became popular when Ford was in his late 30s, is of natural concern for fans of the action-adventure series.

Get ready to wait a little longer for the return of Indiana Jones.

At least we can count on the movie throwing out some self-referential, dryly-witty, geriatric humor for the audience - especially if Jonathan Kasdan brings his Solo sensibilities over to Harrison Ford's other iconic property.
