Liverpool transfer news Nabil Fekir could still make a move to Anfield

Lyon talisman Nabil Fekir has reportedly agreed with club president Jean-Michel Aulas that he'll be allowed to re-open talks with Liverpool after his 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign with France is completed.

Liverpool pulled the plug on a £53million deal before the World Cup after concerns were raised about Fekir's knee and Lyon refused to lower the asking price.

Fekir has actually met twice with Lyon chief Aulas during this World Cup, the latest after France's dramatic semi final victory over Belgium when the French owner - who is influential within the FFF - went into the dressing room to join celebrating players.

The France global begged Aulas to reconsider and Lyon have now told Fekir they will at least resume talks with Liverpool.

The restructuring of the previously agreed £53 million deal, which collapsed due to an issue found during his Reds medical, is an important detail and refers to Liverpool paying the sum in more instalments.

The Mirror report that Fekir has now convinced Lyon to reopen talks with Liverpool again, in the hope of landing his move to Anfield ahead of the new Premier League season.

And Lyon are already thinking about replacements for Fekir should he exit for Liverpool.
