After signing a four-year $154 million contract to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James has sold an untitled comedy pitch alongside writer Steve Mallory (The Boss, Superintelligence) to Paramount Players via his SpringHill Entertainment company, Variety has confirmed.The outlet notes that James is in talks to star in the untitled film. The films been in the works for several months and Mallory would be the person who would pen the film's script. Ali Bell and Gabby Canton are handling the project for Paramount Players. He had a cameo as himself in Judd Apatow's "Trainwreck". If reports are true, this would be LeBron James' second role in film.

The sale comes on the heels of James signing a four-year, $154 million contract to join the Los Angeles Lakers - one of the biggest sporting deals in National Basketball Association history. James has also been busy behind the scenes, selling the spec Hustle to Legendary Entertainment, which has made him a member of the Producers Guild.

He is also a producer on the New Line remake of "House Party" as well an exec producer on the Netflix limited series "On Her Own Ground", starring Octavia Spencer.

He is represented by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.
