"Just to let you know from the outside, this whole date thing with Georgia and this kiss, it did happen and it was more a mutual kiss'".

"I've really tried and been tossing and turning about what I'm going to do".

Samira Mighty has quit Love Island to be with Frankie Foster, who was eliminated from the show last week.

But Jack continues to protest his innocence: "The facts are, I ended up kissing her on the lips, I have never denied that".

"Just got the chance to unpack properly and look what I found", he wrote. But me wanting to kiss her on the lips - it's different.

Jack adds: "He can say what he wants to say but inevitably he's just trying to get with you. He's looked at me and you and he's trying to mess it up".

"Awhhhhhh I can't wait until you get to see her again".

Later, Idris speaks to the rest of the boys about the incident, and Kieran Nicholls jumps to Jack's defence, saying: "Jack was shying away from [the kiss]".

The brief smooch between Jack and Georgia has led to ructions in the villa and has caused consternation among followers at home for another reason.

And it doesn't stop there, as Jack goes to confront Idris about being a snake.

"With Laura I've been squashing it, trying to progress with it and then you've come in here and you've started chatting rubbish", Jack raged.

And while her pals in the villa were understandably upset by her departure, they told her that they were incredibly supportive of her decision.

Despite the attention from Idris, Samira made it clear that she wasn't interested in getting to know anyone else during her time in the villa when she said in the beach hut: "Right now, I feel like I can't think about anyone else". I think the best thing for me to get closure on the Frankie situation and for me to be happy is to go today.

Love Island airs these scenes from 9:30pm tonight on ITV2 and 3e.
