"They have to help each other".

Kru told us she was so anxious when she learned Adun was trapped in the cave.

The British divers who found the boys also had a helper inside the cave: A student who was able to take a leadership role by translating for them. In a letter last weekend he apologised to the boys' parents but they replied stating, "please don't blame yourself". Some of the patients flashed hand signs to let viewers know they're doing all right. The youngest boy, 11, appeared to be asleep under a crisp white sheet.

The doctor said three of the boys were being treated for minor cases of pneumonia, but predicted most would be discharged after about a week.

"Everyone is strong in mind and heart", he said at a news conference of officials involved in the rescue. They would then need to recuperate at home for 30 days, he said. Three have slight lung infections.

Hollywood, unsurprisingly, has already jumped on the still-fresh story of the ordeal of 12 boys and their soccer coach in Thailand, who were rescued from a miles-deep underwater mountain cave; news that might generate mixed feelings about the film industry, especially since the harrowing life-and-death scenario was only resolved a few days ago.

The group was overdue June 23 after they failed to return from a visit to the cave complex.

British divers found the 13 members of the soccer team huddled on a muddy ledge in a partly flooded chamber inside the cave.

The team and coach had ventured into the complex after a practice but became trapped when heavy rains flooded the way they'd come in.

Chiang Rai province acting Gov. Narongsak Osatanakorn, who oversaw the rescue operation, said the boys should not be blamed for their near tragedy. Authorities have promised to provide them legal assistance in the nationality verification process and if there were no complications in their documents all of them will have Thai nationality within six months. "This story has meant so much to me as I have followed it in Thailand this summer", he said in a video posted on the microblogging site. "Everyone worked together without discrimination of race or religion as the ultimate goal was to save the youth football team". That ultimately proved not to be an option when oxygen levels within the tunnels dropped to unsafe levels. "This mission was successful because of cooperation from everyone", he said.

The boys were reportedly sedated though there have been conflicting reports about the kind of medicine they received, with some saying they got anti-anxiety medication to keep them calm while Peeranarong said some of them had been fully sedated.

"The water and scuba diving scenes would be expensive", said Judi Farkas, the literary agent who represented author Antonio Mendez on the film rights sale of his book "Argo" for the Oscar-winning movie.
