Microsoft just turned your conference-room whiteboard into an app

At that time, Windows 1.0 was the first Microsoft operating system to support graphical user interfaces, which ran on top of MS-DOS. Feature updates are new OS versions that typically arrive twice per year, in the spring and the fall. Microsoft has been teasing its Whiteboard app for some time and made a public preview available for Windows 10 users in December. Its upcoming update will make the platform more compatible with larger files, and will also improve its find-and-replace function.

Microsoft also introduced "Web Sign-in", a new form fo authentication for Azure customers, as well as Fast Sign-in, which will enable multiple users to sign-in to a shared PC more quickly. Now, both Unix/Linux line endings (LF) and Macintosh line endings (CR) are supported in Notepad, making it even more accessible to developers.

While we can finally say goodbye to infinitely long lines of text, this update on a cult classic will probably still not change the notoriously not user-friendly reputation of this app. Shortcuts for Ctrl + Plus, Ctrl + Minus, and Ctrl + MouseWheel will all work to change the zoom setting. They can also delete the last word in their document by pressing ctrl+backspace. Users are still free to disable the status bar if they choose to do so. These protections aren't enabled by default. These new feature will be rolled out to all Windows 10 users as part of the Redstone 5 update later this year. You can draw, add sticky notes, import images, paste text, and pull in pictures from the web using the built-in Bing search tool. This feature doesn't seem to support "convenience PINs", presumably because the company knows how easily PINs can be broken by modern password cracking tools. The same month Microsoft's Joe Belfiore confirmed that Windows 10 S Mode would land in 2019.

It is practically an infinite Whiteboard where you can use pen, keyboard, mouse, and fingers to doodle, write, type, and what have you.
