Get Me Out Of Here is the hilarious presenting duo that is Ant and Dec, but Ant McPartlin has made the decision not to take part in this year's show in order to focus on his recovery.

Donnelly said: "Whilst I am obviously sad at the thought of being without my best friend in Australia this year, I am proud of the work Ant has been doing privately and I am fully supportive of his decision". In addition Ant and Dec have made the joint decision not to present a new series of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway in Spring 2019.

Ant returned back to rehab for a second time earlier this year, after a three vehicle crash in West London.

The past few months have seen McPartlin step back from TV commitments and public appearances following a drink-driving charge earlier this year.

His close friend and TV partner Declan Donnelly is now set to present the reality show alone, which is due to air in November.

This means that he will not be fronting the upcoming series of I'm A Celeb, leaving pal Dec to front the show on his own.

"Neither Ant & Dec nor ITV wanted to compromise the quality of the show and therefore felt it was better to rest the series next year". Get Me Out of Here! - which is expected to return to ITV in November or December - until at least 2019, and he has agreed to postpone next year's Saturday Night Takeaway until 2020.

They have promised that it will be back bigger and better than ever when it does return in 2020.

ITV Director of Television Kevin Lygo added, "ITV is completely supportive of Ant taking as much time as he needs in his recovery and of this mutual decision to rest Takeaway in 2019. An announcement on I'm A Celebrity. plans will be made in due course". Ant is clearly making good progress and we wish him all the very best and look forward to him returning to ITV next year.
