Brad Pitt details millions spent supporting Jolie and kids

Brad Pitt Says He Gave Angelina Jolie $9 Million Since Split

U.S. actor Brad Pitt has rebutted claims made by his estranged wife Angelina Jolie that he has failed to support their children. Pitt reportedly "loaned" Jolie $8 million to help her purchase a house and has since contributed $1.3 million in various bills and other benefits for the children.

Pitt's attorney also calls Jolie's filing a "thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage".

The attorneys for Brad are calling BS, saying THEY were the ones who called Angelina's lawyers last week asking for exactly that.to grant the divorce decree quickly and then later deal with child support and property settlement issues.

The declaration in a court filing is meant to counter Ms Jolie's assertion in documents a day earlier that Mr Pitt has paid "no meaningful child support".

In 43-year-old Jolie's court filing on Tuesday - the latest in the former couple's hard-fought custody battle since their split - Jolie accuses Pitt of not paying any "meaningful" child support for a year and a half, and says she is is planning to get a court order mandating that he pay it.

After being accused of skimping out on child support, no wonder Brad Pitt looked upset.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt's representatives chose not to comment on the situation. But on Tuesday her spokeswoman said her filing was meant to provide closure to the marriage "and allow her and Brad to recommit as devoted co-parents to their children".

But a source also claimed to ET that the court filing is in retaliation over Jolie being ordered by a judge in June to help fix her children's relationship with 54-year-old Pitt.

The Hollywood power couple had been together for 12 years and married for two when she filed for divorce in 2016.

The actress also said Tuesday that she desired to have the divorce expedited so she could return to single status by the end of 2018.
