LOOK: Kris Aquino wows in ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ Hollywood premiere

Filipino actress Kris Aquino looked like royalty - just like her character Princess Intan - during the world premiere of "Crazy Rich Asians" in Hollywood on Wednesday.

Clad in a yellow Michael Leyva gown, Kris was accompanied by her son Bimby. In a video clip Aquino posted on Instagram today, August 8, she can be seen with Bimby walking towards a crowd of fans subdued by a barricade, who all welcomed her with screams and flashing camera phones.

"This was the reason we made the effort to be here.it is my honor to proudly represent the Philippines", she wrote on Instagram.

"Maraming salamat po sa effort nyo to show your love & support!" she added.

The gowns were made by designers Francis Libiran and Michael Leyva respectively, with two of the gowns in a blush pink hue. The dress looks great on her, but we are not so sure about her choice to wear her hair in an updo with swirly bangs.

Based on Kevin Kwan's books, Rachel travels to Singapore to meet boyfriend Nick Young (Henry Golding)'s family.

Pictures" "Crazy Rich Asians' at TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood, California. In a still from the movie, Kris is seen interacting with Rachel (Constance Wu), the protagonist of the film.

Singaporean actress Janice Koh, who plays Nick's aunt Felicity, flew the Singapore flag high on the red carpet in an entirely Singapore-designed get-up: Her black dress is by local fashion designer Ong Shunmugam, the earrings by local jeweller Choo Yilin, and a clutch by Singapore's Ling Wu.

"Crazy Rich Asians" is billed as a historic film, as it's the first Hollywood studio movie that features an all-Asian cast in 25 years.
