Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay video

The latest video will be debuting on Thursday, August 9th at 11 AM ET / 8 AM PT.

The trailer, which features an abundance of gameplay accompanied by a female narrator, discusses how Rockstar Games is looking to create a "deeper" open world that's "more detailed and open" than ever. Take a look: You'll get to try all of this out for yourself when Red Dead Redemption 2 is released on October 26th. And if all of the previous trailers are any indicator, it will be a stunningly lovely yet brutal ride.

So far, Rockstar has managed to keep an extremely tight lid on the assets for Red Dead Redemption 2, with practically all of the materials that have been shared with the public having come straight from the developer.

For now, let's just agree that Red Dead Redemption 2 is inarguably stunning, and focus on the real intention of today's new trailer: to give us an idea how Red Dead Redemption 2 will actually play.

A strong emphasis is placed on the diverse and lively cast of characters you'll meet as you play as Arthur Morgan, a trusted senior gun in the Van der Linde Gang.

In just a couple of months, one of the most highly anticipated games of the year will drop after close to a decade of development. The video implies the Van der Linde gang will be driven from various territories over the course of the story, but the footage makes the camp look like a thriving community. If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, there's still time to pre-order the game on Amazon ahead of its release this fall.
