Move over, Megyn Kelly.

Hall left NBC News last February after the network canceled her hour of the Today show with co-host Al Roker - "Today's Take" - to make room for Megyn Kelly's show, Megyn Kelly Today.

"I'm so thrilled to partner with Disney/ABC to create a daytime television show that's unconventional, fun, intimate and sometimes even raw", Hall's statement reads". She also signed a new deal with Investigation Discovery in January to continue her crime series, "Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall". I'm grateful and excited for this new chapter.

"We are incredibly excited to partner with Tamron and look forward to bringing a fresh, new daytime talk show to stations across the country that will showcase her enormous talent and dynamic personality", Disney executive Janice Marinelli said in a statement to HuffPost. "The landing makes the leap of faith so worth it!" she added.

Hall was previously in talks with Dimension Television, once Weinstein Television, to develop a daytime talk show, though it was unclear if that relationship is ongoing following the surfacing of allegations of sexual assault and harassment surrounding Harvey Weinstein.

William Burton, ABC's chief of daytime television, touted Hall's "boundless enthusiasm" which he said would boost the network in the ratings battle against rivals NBC and CBS. The role made her the first African American woman to serve as a host of "Today" in the program's more than six-decade history.
