ESPN Report Vikings Starting OL Nick Easton Lost For Season

Minnesota was able to work with Easton, making him their starting guard or center, whatever the team needed in the situation.

Minnesota may need to get creative if they want to fill the gap this year.

National Football League insider Adam Schefter recently reported on his Twitter account that Nick Easton had surgery on the morning of August 9th to correct a herniated disc in his neck.

Easton started at left guard last season before fracturing his ankle in the Vikings week 16 game against the Packers.

The worst fear proved true for Vikings fans regarding guard Nick Easton. The Viking's will have to restructure their offensive line in the wake of Easton's unavailability. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed Thursday afternoon that Easton is headed to injured reserve.
