The 71-year-old photographer says he was on assignment for the local newspaper covering a band at Lola's in Oak Bluffs when Murray grabbed him from behind and slammed him into a door.

Peter Simon, who is the brother of singer Carly Simon, told The Boston Globe he was on an assignment for The Martha's Vineyard Times at Lola's in Oak Bluffs on Wednesday when Murray allegedly accosted him, swore at him and threatened him.

"He looked like he was ready to strangle me", Simon told the outlet.

Simon said the band, The Marotta Brothers Band, invited him and he was not there to take pictures of Murray. Simon denies that he tried to photograph Murray, and then things get weirder.

Murray, allegedly angry at Simon for taking pictures, grabbed the photographer and poured a drink on his shirt, police said.

Officers spoke with Murray who was visibly upset, according to police. He told the Globe that he asked Murray, "Do you know who I am?" in order to let him know that he was a well-respected photographer.

Simon said he didn't know it was Murray at first, though he later recognized him as he continued to take photos around the restaurant.

"He doesn't look anything like he used to look", Simon said. And the quest for the actor's 800 number continues.
