I would have left Chelsea had Conte stayed - Willian

The Brazil forward was one of a number of senior Blues players to fall out with Conte last season and posted a team picture after the FA Cup Final win in May on social media with emojis covering the former boss.

The Brazil worldwide hinted at his displeasure at the end of last season when being left out of the starting lineup to face Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

Willian has since revealed he turned down Barcelona to remain at Chelsea and, having played 76 minutes of their opening-day victory at Huddersfield, said he is still at the club because Conte has gone.

"No chance", he told the Evening Standard when asked if he would still be a Blue under the ex-Juventus Coach.

The Brazilian winger's future had been in doubt amid interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid. If his showing on Saturday was anything to go by, then Chelsea fans will be in for another exciting campaign watching his quick feet and mazy dribbling.

Chelsea's Brazilian midfielder Willian warms up before the English Premier League football match between Huddersfield Town and Chelsea at the John Smith's stadium in Huddersfield, northern England on August 11, 2018.

However, Willian appears to be enjoying like under new boss Sarri. I very much enjoy his attitude when I am working with him, " he said.

"We always tried to be in control. No chance. No", Willian told reporters.

"There are a lot of things we can take on board and improve and with a positive mind go to the next game because there were certain things we set up and wanted to ever since we started pre-season and we managed to put it in the game and do it well".

"But I think we have been doing really well and we need to adjust a few things but I think we are on a good way".

"Now we have to continue like that because we have a great game to play against Arsenal".

"Now we have a different profile of football, a different way to play football", he said.
