A Bridgewater trade would make sense for the Jets, who took highly-touted USC product Sam Darnold third overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.

There is a good chance that the Jets might trade him if that is how the battle works out and according to the New York Daily News at least two teams have expressed interest in trading for the former first-round pick.

Bridgewater is on a one-year, $6 million deal that includes $9 million in performance incentives, but the money he could potentially earn by completing those would count toward the 2019 salary cap, according to Mehta. The News reported two weeks ago that Gang Green has made it clear to teams across the league that they're amenable to dealing the quarterback for the right price.

"We feel fortunate to have three quarterbacks we really like quite a bit", general manager Mike Maccagnan said Monday on the Morning Show with Boomer & Gio of WFAN.

The 2014 first-round pick missed nearly two full seasons after he dislocated his knee and tore his ACL with the Vikings in August 2016.

"There's nothing to stop us from keeping three [quarterbacks], and there's nothing to stop us from keeping two", said Maccagnan, basically confirming there's a "for sale" sign on Bridgewater. Barkley will be an immediate home run hitter, their most explosive running back since Tiki Barber, and add juice to a stagnant Giants offense that failed to reach 20 points in 10 out of 16 games last season.
