"I don't have words", Lopez told Terrence J on the red carpet.

In her acceptance speech, Cardi made a huge statement: 'I had the baby, I carried the baby, and I'm still winning awards!'

In just a few hours all of your favorite celebs will take their seats inside of Radio City Music Hall in New York City for the annual music ceremony. After shouting out her fellow nominees, she turned the attention to her loyal Camilizers, telling them, "The relationship that I have with you guys is a forever thing".

As the recipient of the MTV Video Vanguard Award, Jenny from the Block returned to her home city of NY for the VMAs looking like the show's infamous Moon Person herself.

Grande won best pop video and thanked her fiance Pete Davidson "for existing". She gave birth to Kulture Kiari Cephus last month and was up for video of the year with "Finesse", her collaboration with Bruno Mars.

"I grew up on MTV and this is really like a tremendous honor for me", said J.Lo. A great challenge for JLo, who is known for her dance moves and is judge on NBC's "World of Dance".

But Lopez's speech was more stirring than her performance: She was emotional as she thanked her children and beau Alex Rodriguez onstage when she earned the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award for lifetime achievement.

Wearing a gold leotard, the pop icon delivered an epic 10-minute retrospective of hits spanning her 20-year career.

She was teary-eyed and looked at her "two little angels", as she called them, and said, "I stand here stronger and better than ever.so thank you Max and Emme".

Nicki Minaj picked up the award for Best Hip Hop Video and Imagine Dragons won the award for Best Rock Video.

She also took the opportunity to praise the other women that were nominated.

NY rapper Cardi B, 25, made her first public appearance since giving birth to her first child in July.
