LG V40 ThinQ is rumored to have a triple camera on its back

Now that Apple's big event is behind us, we can focus on the absolute onslaught of Android phones that are coming in October.

According to an announcement on LG Electronics' website, the V40 ThinQ will launch on October 4 at 10 AM in Seoul while its global media event will take place several hours prior in NY at 5 PM Eastern Time (2 PM Pacific Time, 9 PM UTC).

The company doesn't outright confirm that the LG V40 ThinQ will have three lenses, but the teaser video shows photos being taken of a subject from three different distances, with three dots at the bottom of the viewfinder, likely representing the three different camera lenses.

The event will be on October 3 in NY in the United States and on October 4 in Seoul, South Korea.

Other rumors about the LG V40 ThinQ include that it will have a roughly 90% screen-to-body-ratio, a notch, the Snapdragon 845 chipset, a fingerprint scanner on the back and potentially two front-facing cameras, allowing for 3D facial recognition. Given the prominent ThinQ branding, it will also have a fair amount of AI-enhanced features.
