Prince William will visit Bristol today to officially launch the project

The project will expand upon the Prince's previous work on mental health as part of his Head Together campaign, which sought to end the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Following his Heads Together campaign in partnership with the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex, the royal launches his new initiative to change the way United Kingdom employers look at mental health in the workplace.

He said at an event in March that "while work can provide a great sense of fulfillment, it can - at times - be a significant source of stress and negatively impact our mental health".

He said: "It gives me the opportunity to get the guys to talk to one another, and to talk to me, and then recognise, that if they have got a problem, they're not on their own". "You see [so] many sad things every day that you think life is like that". He continued, "You're always dealing with despair and sadness and injury".

It found nearly half of the 44,000 workers questioned had experienced poor mental health in their current job.

Farmer added on the dedication that not just Prince William, but all the Royals, have to mental health awareness: "My firm belief is that all of [the royals] and particularly the Duke - in this context - have done a lot of background work and really thought about this issue and their commitment is 100 per cent real".

The survey revealed only half of those who had experienced poor mental health had talked to their employer about the issue, suggesting as many as one in four United Kingdom workers is struggling in silence with problems such as anxiety, low mood and stress.

Speaking at the event, he adds, "If every workplace in Britain embodies a positive approach to supporting mental health, [then] communities, families, everyone in society can benefit".

Ms Anderson, who works for East of England Ambulance Service based in Whitham, Essex, said about William: "He feels like a colleague as well as a leader". It has been a positive and wonderful experience.
