Pokemon Developer Game Freak Reveals New Switch IP Named Town

Continuing its trend onto the Nintendo Switch, the publisher has just announced it has a new RPG in the works called Town.

Confirmed as a brand new RPG, the tentatively titled Town is set in a village that has known peace for many years thanks to the protection of a great castle, until one day hostile monsters begin to appear.

During today's Nintendo Direct presentation, the developer revealed Town (title pending), a new role-playing adventure where you find yourself facing off against all kinds of monsters in a village. In Town, players need to strategize the best ways to fend off large, attacking monsters.

Besides TOWN and countless Pokémon titles, Game Freak has also developed such games as Tembo the Badass Elephant, Pocket Card Jockey, HarmoKnight, and Drill Dozer. There is a trailer for the game which you can see below, but other than that, we'll have to wait until Nintendo or GameFreak have more info.

TOWN is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

More information is sure to come in the following months leading up to Towns release, now set for 2019 for the Nintendo Switch.

Combat looks to be strategic and players can enlist other villagers to help battle the biggest threats.
