England hopeful over Tuilagi and Lawes for All Blacks clash

Tom Curry walks off with an ankle injury against South Africa

"We won't risk him, he's either 100 per cent fit or he's not".

"We know what a world-class operator Manu is".

'It's great to see him running around in training. It settles down the boys to know that he's there'.

Less promising, however, is the ankle problem that forced Tom Curry to depart in the second half and now makes him a significant doubt to face the All Blacks. I'm really pleased he's able to get back out there.

Curry limped off in the second half at Twickenham and - after having the joint scanned - it was confirmed he is facing an extended spell on the sidelines.

"Tom Curry is not available this week and he'll be ruled out for the rest of the series as well", said England forwards coach Steve Borthwick.

England have otherwise been given a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday's visit of New Zealand - the first time the rivals have met in four years.

"They put a lot of pressure on the All Blacks in areas they didn't enjoy - there's a bit to be learned there", said Jones, who will also have been encouraged by South Africa's recent win and agonising near miss against them.

England will unveil their team to take on the reigning world champions at midday on Thursday. England are well versed in what to expect, however. "You know against New Zealand you're going to have score tries, simply trying to slot penalties probably isn't going to be enough because of the threat they pose", said Youngs. And Youngs says there is a strong belief in the squad that they could replicate a similar sort of performance.

Cape Town - England scrumhalf Ben Youngs believes if England are to beat the All Blacks they are going to need "game-changers" like Manu Tuilagi.

"We have got [Sam] Underhill or [Mark] Wilson that can play No 7 and there is an opportunity for [Zach] Mercer to play No 8".
