Ginsburg was hospitalized Thursday morning for three broken ribs.

The supreme court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been hospitalized after fracturing three ribs in fall at court. She initially went home after her fall, but experienced complications overnight. According to a statement from the Supreme Court, doctors admitted Ginsburg for further "observation and treatment".

Asked previous year if she was contemplating retirement, she said, "As long as I can do the job full steam, I will do it".

There's precedent for her lengthy service, as Justices Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. and John Paul Stevens were both 90 when they retired.

"I've known her for many, many years - got to see her just a few weeks ago here at the swearing-in of Justice [Brett] Kavanaugh", Conway said. "When I can't do the job full-steam".
