Tamera Mowry is desperately searching for her niece who was at the college bar where a gunman opened fire and brutally killed 12 people.

Mowry-Housley, responding to a tweet from her niece's suitemate, wrote, "Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley". I know you always hear those things... The exchange is pretty heartbreaking.

Alaina, the niece of Mowry-Housley's husband, former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, had not been seen or heard from since. Do you know what hospitals she could be at?'

"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead", Housley told the Los Angeles Times.

"A guard didn't let him through, saying it was on lockdown".

Housley wrote, "Staying positive and praying and hoping and wishing there was more I could do".

The publication also reported that Alaina's Apple Watch and iPhone both indicated that her location was still on the dance floor at the site of the shooting. Ashley confirmed that Tamera's niece was the only one of her friends unaccounted for, and the women then went on to take the rest of their conversation to Direct Message.

Housley told the Times: "She's an incredible girl".

"You just don't think that - same stupid quote - you just don't think it's going to happen to you", he said.

Actress Tamera Mowry's niece is one of the young women still missing in the wake of a deadly shooting at a Thousand Oaks bar.

Adam Housely searched for his niece Thursday morning at the Los Robles Regional Medical Center, where some shooting victims were being treated, according to Los Angeles Times reporter Andrea Castillo.

Tamera responded on Twitter to one classmate, who wrote: "My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything #Borderline". The suspect, since identified as Ian David Long, was found dead at the scene.

Ventura County Sheriff's Sergeant Ron Heuls was one of the first responders and was met by gunfire. God bless all of the victims and families of the victims.
