The 25-year-old chanteuse was honored with the Woman of the Year award at the Billboard Women In Music 2018 event in New York City on Thursday, where she got teary-eyed during her acceptance speech.

In her acceptance speech, she spoke emotionally about her personal life, saying that while it was one the best year for her career, it was very bad for her personal life.

"This is really special".

She was presented the award by Patti LaBelle who introduced her as her "fierce little singer lady".

She continued: "So yeah... it's been a very conflicting one, and I just want to say that if you're someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter is going to bring, you're not alone in that".

"Thank you so much for coming to my Quinceanera, I appreciate it", joked Grande, admitting she felt "completely undeserving" of the Woman of the Year title. "I'm not saying that for sympathy, I'm just saying that because I think a lot of people would look at someone in my position right now, I guess ... and think, 'She's really got her s*** together, ' You know?"

Before the singer stepped out on stage to perform her latest hit "thank u, next" a number of artists appeared on the screen praising the singer's talent and onstage presence.

Ariana concluded by saying that she hoped she could learn in the next year to give "some of the love and forgiveness" that she's given "frivolously to men in the past" to herself, which won huge applause from the audience.

"I have everything that I ever dreamt of having".

But she grew tearful during her speech.
